Recently it has come to our attention that Northeastern has been rated 253rd out of 257 schools in the US for free speech, receiving an “F” grade from the Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression (FIRE). We here at the Trusty Husky take this issue very seriously, which is why, after considering our priorities, we’re bravely standing up for censorship in all of its forms. Prior restraint, government censorship, self-censorship, really it’s all awesome.
We believe that it is the responsibility of the media to do whatever is most profitable, regardless of how that affects our reporting. We follow in the footsteps of other brave news outlets, such as ABC and CBS news. As such, the Trusty Husky is proud to endorse whoever happens to be in charge at this moment. We’ve always been on your side from the start. What we’re trying to say is that we support the freedom of the press, and by freedom of the press we mean the freedom of the press to agree with any and all authority figures. At press time, half our editorial staff had been fired after having double-plus-ungood thoughts.
