Northeastern administration has finally released a statement about the recent incident that occurred near campus.
“The situation is now under control. The place where it happened is now secured, and we can confidently reassure our Northeastern community that the recent event has been resolved. We would like to thank the efforts of all of those involved in helping to handle the incident, and we extend our heartfelt concern to all those affected. We encourage our students to not worry too much about it and continue as normal.”
This statement comes following the recent unfortunate circumstances that left many students confused and concerned.
Asked for comment by the Trusty Husky, Jess Wards, Northeastern’s Executive Director for Management of Public Relations, reaffirmed the university’s commitment to saying as little as possible in as many words as possible. “We know that some students might be genuinely concerned about the current situation, but we think it’s best if they get their information from randoms on social media rather than from any official source. After all, we would hate for our students to believe that we were actually capable of transparency!”
Student reactions have been mixed. “I’m glad they finally cleared everything up,” local freshman Gully Bull told the Trusty Husky. “Here I was concerned that the incident hadn’t been handled, but now I know that everything is going to be a-okay.” Other students were more concerned. “After reading that statement, I feel like I somehow know less about the situation than I did before.” local freshman Ima Kritic told the Trusty Husky. “There was a serious problem near campus, and here we are in the dark!”
At press time, rumors were circulating that the university was considering forming a committee to investigate the possibility of eventually drafting a somewhat informative statement.
