Khoury Students Fight to the Death Over Last Remaining CS Co-op

As the computer science market continues to remain extremely competitive, Khoury students have been pushed to new extremes to secure their co-ops. In a dramatic break from tradition, Northeastern has announced the start of “The Khoury Games”, where computer science and computer engineering students can fight to the death in Matthews Arena in front of countless cheering spectators, with the winner receiving a co-op at Microsoft for $20 an hour.

Student reactions have been largely positive. Local sophomore Rivhers Uhv’Blood told the Trusty Husky, “I thought that my proficiency with the longsword was more of a fun quirk than an employable skill, but hoo-boy, I sure got proved wrong!”

While some local buzzkills have been complaining about the ethics of running a death game on campus, most students have dismissed them as “party poopers” and “just bitter about not getting accepted into the Khoury Games.”

At press time, applications for the Khoury Games were full, and academic advisors were recommending that students apply to several death games to ensure their best odds of acceptance.
