Northeastern University Announces Lockheed Martin Auditorium

In response to student demands that the school better reflect its ties to the United States military industrial complex, Northeastern University has announced that it will begin construction of the Lockheed Martin Auditorium where White Hall used to be.

Local junior Millie Terry told the Trusty Husky, “I love Raytheon Amphitheater as much as the next guy, but I think having just one military corporation reflected on our campus fails to capture the full diversity of support for the military industrial complex amongst Northeastern students.”

The addition of Lockheed Martin Auditorium is not without its detractors, however, as some students continue to feel marginalized by the lack of diversity in military corporations on campus. “Yes, while it is better to have two buildings named after the companies that directly profit from human misery rather than just one, I still feel like the school administration still has a lot more work to do if they want to truly include all students,” senior Worr Phan argued to the Trusty Husky. At press time, local students had formed an advocacy group called “Students for Boeing”.
